About Zenshin Fitness

I’m Ellie Work—the founder and one of the trainers at Zenshin Fitness. The main reason I established this gym was because I recognized that, for the price clients were paying, they deserved more. More thoughtful training. More effective methodologies. More welcoming spaces. More value in every session.

That’s why I’ve invested so much into creating an experience clients will truly value and return to again and again. Our core philosophy is simple: Strength is for everyone—no matter your starting point. Everyone can learn to move better, feel stronger, and become the best version of themselves. Functional strength training is our wheelhouse, but we also offer value in areas such as mobility and nutrition to support a well-rounded approach to fitness.

The name Zenshin reflects some of our fundamental values. In Japanese, it can mean whole body, progress, and virtue—capturing the holistic and intentional approach we bring to fitness and personal growth.

Here’s a bit about my credentials: I’m a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS)*, with over four years of experience training clients of all ages, body types, goals, and backgrounds. I’m a big believer in being a lifelong student, which is why I continuously seek out new knowledge to better serve my clients and raise the quality of my training. My goal is for every client to feel that they’re making a valuable investment in their health and strength.
